Dr. Sarah McKinley is a pulmonary and critical care physician who is a Medical Consultant at EBSCO. She has served as faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and practiced with Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. She received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and has practiced in the Denver metro area for 20 years.
Dr. Min Clapham loves practicing pulmonary medicine because of the opportunity it affords for building longitudinal relationships with patients. She has spent significant time in Malawi and Uganda and carries over interests in delivering quality care to rural and resource-impoverished settings. She currently practices in Indiana.

Yes, NuvoAir can coordinate your care with your in-person providers including your primary care physician and/or pulmonologist. Our monitoring devices can notify them of any problems or flare-ups immediately.
NuvoAir uses several easy-to-use devices to monitor your lung health, including a spirometer, a pulse oximeter, and an activity tracker.
No, NuvoAir’s monitoring devices are covered by your insurance.
No, NuvoAir’s virtual care program is covered by your insurance.
No. Your health insurance covers signing up for NuvoAir. You may have to pay a small copay to meet with a physician, as you would for an in office visit, but your insurance plan will cover meetings with any other member of our care team (including nurses, health coaches, and respiratory therapists).
Yes you can keep your main MD. We can do the remote monitoring for your lung health and loop in your MD on how you are progressing, so you don't have to switch MDs. If at some point you want to make that switch to NuvoAir, it is up to you and we can help you manage your lung health needs.
As of today it is covered by people enrolled in traditional Medicare, and the Medicare programs with United Healthcare, and Anthem. At this time, the program is not covered by Medicaid in Colorado. We hope to be covered under Medicaid at some point.
Yes, you can still sign up with NuvoAir even if our program isn’t covered by your health insurance plan. You may just have to pay a higher copay as NuvoAir would be considered an out of network provider. To determine the exact copay, consult your health insurance plan for out of network provider copay information. We can also add you to our mailing list so you’ll be notified when we start accepting your insurance. Talk to our team to learn more.
